Does God care about my Keep Cup? A one-day conference in Melbourne on October 14

Our friends at A Rocha Australia have an event on October 14 that may interest those interested in creation care, sustainability, and conservation. Here's your invitation:

You've got a keep cup, you're thinking about putting a compost bin out the back and your metro card is loaded up for when you take the tram to work instead of driving. You're doing your bit for the environment, right? But is caring for the environment really an issue for Christians? Is it something my Church should care about? Does God care about the environment? Does God care if I care about it?

We would like to officially invite you to the first ever A Rocha Australia Conference based in Victoria for Victorians. We would love you to come along and be part of this very exciting event. There are going to be some great speakers talking about why caring for the environment is something all Christians are called to and sharing the A Rocha story in Australia and across the world. There will be a range of workshops run by Christians living environmentally conscious lives in a whole variety of ways - conservation researchers, climate scientists, inner-city hipsters, overseas missionaries and more. And at the end of the day there will be activity groups to give you the opportunity leave the conference having put the encouragement from the speakers into practice. Lunch will be catered for by the Free Burma Cafe and there are rumours the TEAR chai cart might make an appearance.

A Rocha is an international Christian biodiversity conservation organisation established over 30 years ago and now working in more than 20 countries.  It was formally established in Australia in 2016.  A Rocha Australia is beginning to establish conservation projects across Australia. See www.arocha.org for further details.
