Christian positions on environmental theology

As a forester, I have had a passing interest in what has become eco-theology since the mid-1970s.  In that time a number of “theologies of the environment” have been produced, each claiming to be THE Christian position on the subject.

The following is my attempt at presenting those I have been exposed to and to describe them dispassionately with what I see to be their their strengths and weaknesses.  Clearly there are differences among Christians in defining the problem and which Christian principles should apply.

This exercise started as a light-hearted game but several people have taken it seriously and contributed their thoughts and corrected some of my mis-representations.  Thus the table has more value in the debate than I thought.  Feel free to get back to me with some of your own thoughts at admin@iscast.org and, who knows, we might even make it even better.
