Remembering RJ “Sam” Berry

ISCASTians will be sorry to hear that RJ “Sam” Berry died earlier this year (29 March). Sam was the keynote speaker at COSAC in 1999 at the Bible College of Victoria where he spoke to us on God, genes and the environment: integrating biology and theology. He is survived by his wife Caroline.

There are a number of tributes to Sam reflecting his particular interests. These include CiS, A Rocha; and professionally here.

A personal one from his colleague from The Faraday Institute, Ruth Bancewicz indicates the depth of his faith and his journey.

Sam has influenced many of us who have read his books, attended his lectures, or enjoyed his friendship and the long and intelligent conversations we have had with him. We will miss him and our condolences go out to Caroline.
