Abstract: Dating NT documents has been a controversial matter at times, with some giving very late dates and others very early dates. In this talk various factors such as their physical, written and textual properties are discussed. This will include the materials, the ink, multi-spectral imaging and carbon dating. It also includes construction and provenance, calendric complexity, writing styles and transmission of various text types and versions.
Parking (in non-reserved spots) is available in the multi-storey car park at UNSW Gate 14 on Barker St or on the nearby suburban streets. A light supper will follow the lecture and discussion.
