2009 marks 500 years since the birth of John Calvin-the great reformer whose breathtaking theological and exegetical vision mark him as one of history's most influential thinkers. ISCAST-an Australian organisation comprised of Christians in Science and Technology-has chosen to mark this anniversary with a short colloquium which brings together ISCAST's scientific and theological interests with particular reference to the thought of John Calvin.
Funded through the generous contribution of the John Templeton foundation, three papers will be presented each addressing the relation of Calvin's thought to the natural order from a different perspective; theological (Dr Brian Edgar), historical (Larissa Johnson-Aldridge), and exegetical (Murray Hogg).
