Professor Richard G. Colling, author of the book "Random Designer", presented the 2008 ISCAST lecture to a number of venues around Australia.   Prof. Colling argued that we need to come to terms with the strengths and limitations of scientific enquiry as well as understanding the supreme importance of faith in our lives. We need a realistic and proper understanding of both before we can come to a fuller appreciation of our understanding of God.

Prof Colling teaches microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology at Olivet Nazarene University, USA, and has had personal experience of some of the difficulties of teaching evolutionary theory in a Christian context.
